Examples of evil spirits include:
 lust, adultery, pride, despair, strife, discouragement, condemnation, shame, hate, envy, covetousness, idolatry, homosexuality, suicide, obsession, control and witchcraft.

These are just a few of the many possible spirits.

Yes - It is so important to recognize all of these things as the direct work of the enemy.

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. (1 Peter 5:8-9)

Prophecy in these visions given by revelation of Yahshua to John the Apostle all have a symbolic meaning, an ongoing meaning, a literal meaning, and a FINAL meaning ~
John is told all of these things before time.

There are six seals opened in chapter 6 of the book of Revelations, leading upto the very coming of the New Jerusalem in the clouds, as described by many prophets in the Old and New Covenants; but it stops there, and we are then referred back to the sealing of the servants of Yahweh in chapter 7.

Not until the fifth seal is broken, do we see a literal warning for the saints of Yahweh on earth, that there will be great trials ahead, just as the saved saints under the alter and throne of Him who liveth forever and ever, have been martyred previously. They are given white robes, and told to have patience until these prophecies are fulfilled, and hasatan is aloud complete control of the earth, until the second white horse comes forth out of heaven.

We can read about the 7 angels which stood before Yahweh (8:2&16:1) in the book of Enoch.
They are ~ Uriel, one of the holy angels, who is over the world and over Tartarus.
Raphael, one of the holy angels, who is over the spirits of men.
Raguel, one of the holy angels who takes vengeance on the world of the luminaries.
Michael, one of the holy angels, to wit, he that is set over the best part of mankind and over chaos.
Saraqael, one of the holy angels, who is set over the spirits, who sin in the spirit.
Gabriel, one of the holy angels, who is over Paradise and the serpents and the Cherubim.
Remiel, one of the holy angels, whom God set over those who rise.

By their heavenly dominions described here, we can identify each one to the seven warning trumpet blasts and seven last plagues of revelation, starting in order of scripture with:

Uriel; with weather conditions causing great destruction on the earth and in the sea (8:7&16:4) ~

Raphael; Opening the bottomless pit, sores upon men who worshipped the beast (9:1&16:2) ~

Raguel; warning of a great star falling from heaven, also scorching men with fire (8:10&16:8) ~

Saraqael; causing a shaking and darkening of the governing heavenly bodies (8:12&16:10) ~

Gabriel; Setting loose the 4 angels to lead the 200 million, making way for the kings of the east with their demonic powers (9:14&16:12) ~

Remiel; with a great mountain of fire causing much death (woe to California), and pouring out a vial upon the sea (8:8&16:3).

Michael; Pouring his vial into the air, and kingdoms of the world become the Lords (11:15&16:17).
